2025 Membership Announcement

At Directors Gathering, we’re taking a step back in 2025 to evaluate the effectiveness of our membership model. In doing so, we are pausing new membership registrations and renewals for now while we gather valuable insights to help shape the future of (DG).

What This Means for Our Community:

Current Members: If you're a current member, you will continue to have access to our Mighty Networks space in 2025.

No New Memberships: We will not be accepting new members or renewals of 2024 memberships in early 2025 as we briefly pause the membership program for evaluation.

Membership Pause
​Frequently Asked Questions

​What is the membership pause, and why is it happening?
Answer: The membership pause is a temporary suspension of the current membership structure, starting in January 2025. We are using this time to explore how we can best serve the community that Directors Gathering is building, with the aim of creating a more accessible and sustainable model for everyone involved.  An open-access model is one of the ideas we're hoping to explore together, where we provide broader, flexible access to (DG)’s resources and community, ensuring that financial barriers don’t limit participation while we work toward sustainable funding solutions.
Will my membership expire during the pause?
Answer: Your current membership will expire at the end of 2024, but all 2024 members will retain access to our Mighty Networks community through at least the first quarter of 2025, even though we are not offering a formal membership structure or membership programming during this time.
What happens after the pause?
Answer: Our goal is to make the online platform accessible and sustainable for the organization and the community we serve: theatre directors. We will have more clarity on how we’ll move forward by April 2025, and we will provide an update at that time with further details on our next steps.​
 Will I still have access to Directors Gathering's resources during the pause?
Yes, 2024 members will continue to have access to our Mighty Networks community space throughout the first quarter of 2025. While we will not be holding new events or programming during the pause, the community will remain active for discussions and resource sharing.​
Can I still join Directors Gathering during the pause?
Answer: We are not accepting new members during the pause. However, we will provide more information in April about how we will move forward with community access and involvement after the pause.
Will there be any changes to the content or community after the pause?
Answer: Potentially.  After the membership pause, we are reimagining how Directors Gathering can serve the community.  This will allow us to include more people, regardless of their ability to pay, while still maintaining the quality of our content and engagement. We’ll share more details once we finalize the next steps.​
How can I support Directors Gathering during the pause?​
Answer: If you’re a 2024 member, your continued engagement and support through Mighty Networks is appreciated during this time. You can also make a financial gift or pledge a gift for 2025 by visiting directorsgathering.org/donate.  Stay tuned for updates, and if you're interested, we will share ways to contribute once we have more clarity in April.
