​Director Membership Options

Early Career Membership

$50/annually

A discounted Individual membership for early career directors who have chosen a career in directing.  They have defined and are honing their voice and artistic craft and have a clear understanding of their collaborative tools and technique.  Generally, early career directors have recently completed an undergraduate theatre program or its equivalent; have been self-producing and/or directing in other professional settings, including staged readings for professional companies.

Individual Membership

$75/annually

A membership for individual directors who have established their directorial voice and are honing their artistic craft. They have a dedicated trajectory in their professional process and have a command of their collaborative tools and directorial technique. Generally, individual director members are actively working in professional theatre and/or teaching in the craft of directing.

Director Membership Scholarship

Scholarship (Free)

Since 2020, generous donors of Directors Gathering have allowed the continuation of the scholarship membership.   Directors Gathering will continue to award Director Membership scholarships to theatre directors at all career levels, who have determined that they need the scholarship and would make good use of a director membership at Directors Gathering.  Any director who determines that they need a scholarship will be granted one for the membership year.​
