On March 19, 2025, we gathered with members, donors, collaborators, and new friends to share the next chapter of Directors Gathering (DG). This virtual event, facilitated by Vanessa Ogbuehi, featured a passing of the torch from Founder and former Executive Director Jill Harrison to incoming Executive Director Sisi Wright. Sisi outlined (DG)’s 2025 plan and long-term vision—including new programming, membership opportunities, and ways to get involved. The evening also featured heartfelt toasts from Cheyenne Barboza and Jerrell L. Henderson and a conversation with attendees about the road ahead.

Building a community for theatre directors everywhere.Directors Gathering is one of the only organizations in the country that provides a consistent community for theatre directors to consistently examine their process, take risks, and explore projects that they would not otherwise do in their individual careers or companies. We encourage these directors to be in perpetual process, challenging them to reexamine how and why they work on projects, and give them the reinvigorating chance to return to their craft with new eyes.
